October 1st is a very historical date for the people of the Republic of China. To coincide with October 1 in 1949, it is designated as the day the Republic of China was founded after a civil war that occurred for years. Every year this celebration will be complemented by various festival parades and mass contests.
In 2020, to coincide on October 1st, the Chinese people will commemorate two moments at once, namely the celebration of Chinese National Day and also the celebration of the mid-autumn festival or often known as the mooncake festival. The celebration of this festival has been running since the Tang Dynasty (617-907 AD), where there will be a tradition of family gathering. The meaning of this mooncake festival celebration is the people and the moon reuniting to form a full circle.
